A new season means a new game — and this one's a bigger shake-up than usual for Ultimate Team. Here's everything confirmed so far, straight from EA's official pitch notes, and how FutAll is getting ready for it.
EA kicked off daily rating reveals on 15 August, league by league. The full Base Item Database (without PlayStyles) lands 21 August, with the PlayStyles-complete version following on 10 September once the international transfer window closes and new-season squads are confirmed.
EA also revealed Destined for Glory — the first Football Ultimate Team campaign of the season, shaped entirely by community votes. Vote for whoever you think will define this year's season from 21 August to 10 September; the featured Player Items in the resulting squad get live upgrades based on real-world performances.

The biggest confirmed changes to how Ultimate Team works — not gameplay tuning, the stuff that changes how you build and manage your club.
A persistent collection of every card that's passed through your club, grouped into themed Sets (Nations, Leagues, Clubs, Campaigns) for rewards. New Holographic variants — max one per eligible player — score higher toward sets.
A brand-new card type honoring community-favorite players from FUT's 18-year history — distinct from Icons. Inaugural class of 5: Akinfenwa, Fellaini, Rémy, Elia, Dos Santos.
Most Player/Upgrade SBCs move to a new format: pick which eligible items to submit, each scored by OVR + rarity, duplicates allowed, partial progress saved. The classic squad-rating format stays for other SBCs.
Some evolutions now branch into a choice of two upgrade directions instead of one fixed outcome, plus a preview of where the next evolution in the chain leads before you commit.
Continuing last year's trend (2 → 3 on FC 26), the cap on PlayStyle+ per item drops again, from 5 to 3 — part of a broader push for smaller, more conservative attribute upgrades all year.
The old Common/Rare split inside each metal tier is gone — just Bronze, Silver or Gold now. Packs no longer state a minimum-Rare guarantee.
