Item rarity is getting simpler
Bronze, Silver and Gold are no longer split into Common and Rare sub-tiers — that distinction is gone entirely. Packs no longer promise a minimum-Rare guarantee, since "Rare" as a separate concept doesn't exist within the base metal tiers anymore.
FUT Gallery & Holographic Items
A new persistent collection system tracks every card that's ever passed through your club, grouped into themed Gallery Sets — Nations, Leagues, Clubs, Campaigns — each scored and leveled for rewards.
Alongside it: Holographic Items, a new special variant available for eligible players (Regular and Pristine tiers), capped at one per player, carrying the same in-match attributes as the standard card but a different, chase-worthy look.
SBCs: two formats now
Traditional squad-rating SBCs aren't going anywhere, but most Player and Upgrade SBCs move to a new Streamlined format: you're shown eligible items, you pick which ones to submit, each is scored by overall rating and rarity, duplicates are allowed, and partial progress is saved between sessions. No fixed squad-OVR requirement — it's a genuinely different way to build toward a reward.
Evolutions: branching Pathways
Some evolutions now branch into a choice of two upgrade directions instead of one fixed outcome — for example, choosing between a dribbling-focused path or a defensive-awareness path on the same evo. Not every evolution branches; linear ones still exist alongside them.
A new Evolution Chain Preview lets you see what the next evolution in a chain would look like before committing to the current one. PlayStyle Lab returns as a recurring program starting Season 1, and the max PlayStyle+ per item drops from 5 to 3 — continuing last year's trend of tightening that cap.
Hall of FUT — a new card type
A new tier honoring community-favorite (not necessarily highest-rated) players from FUT's history, explicitly separate from Icon cards. The inaugural class of five: Akinfenwa, Fellaini, Rémy, Elia, and Dos Santos.
Role++ for every special item
Every special item released throughout the year now gets Role++ familiarity across every role in both its primary and secondary positions — a broader default than FC 26 offered.
New leagues
Liga BBVA MX joins FUT for the first time with all 18 clubs. The NWSL expands with Boston Legacy and Denver Summit, bringing it to 18 clubs total. No leagues were reported removed.
The Community API still won't help third-party sites
EA's official FC Community API remains closed to new applicants — only FUT.GG, FUTBIN and FUTWIZ are approved — and it's a user-permissioned, per-account API rather than a bulk catalog anyway. It doesn't change the data-source question for sites like this one.
